Since launching on Berwick St in May 2011, Independent Label Market has brought together the founders of over 250 of the World's greatest independent record labels on both sides of the Atlantic to sell their fresh vinyl produce directly to the public at that traditional goods exchange - a market stall.
As the music industry embraces mp3s and a more digital strategy, Independent Label Market is proving to be a valuable reminder of how music retail can be a social affair; people hanging out together as a community and buying records.
Independent Label Market is very proud to be supported by AIM in the UK.
“AIM is a not for profit company which looks after the interests of independent record companies, from self-releasing artists to the largest independents in the world. We act collectively to ensure that all music is given equal opportunity to be as successful as possible. We connect, advise, counsel, lobby, and occasionally throw our toys out of the pram when other companies ignore, bully or treat indie companies as second class citizens. We have created the largest community of like-minded and mutually supportive companies who share their knowledge, wisdom and clout when necessary. They believe in giving everyone a chance as the future can only belong to the smaller companies. If you would like to become a member, or find out more about what we do, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Our website is www.musicindie.com”
